MSE Precast Acquires Verti-Block Retaining Wall Product Line

In late-February of 2022, MSE Precast excitedly acquired the British Columbia and Alberta licensing rights for the Verti-Block Retaining Wall system.

Verti-Block retaining walls are incredibly versatile wall system utilizing an array of design options to produce a structurally sound retaining wall. Verti-Block can used in a gravity wall design for smaller wall heights, a geogrid friction connection design for larger wall heights and a geogrid positive connection design when seismic performance needs to be considered. The 2’ x 4’ x 3’ Engineered hollow core block style provides a lightweight handling weight for efficient and economical transportation and production rates.

A Traylor-Aecon General Partnership

The Second Narrows Water Supply Tunnel for the Greater Vancouver Water District (Metro Vancouver) is a $286 million project that will improve reliability and increase capacity for Metro Vancouver to deliver drinking water throughout the Vancouver area. Notice to Proceed was issued Jan. 15, 2019, and final completion is expected in the fall of 2023.

MSE Precast was excited to be such a key subcontractor, supplying the precast concrete tunnel segments.
